After years of dedicated volunteer service, Holly Cupala, Liz Gallagher, and Martha Brockenbrough are stepping down from the rgz diva collective. We appreciate all of their work and wish them well as they return fully to their own YA novel writing.

The current rgz diva team beginning March, 2011, consists of contributions from Micol Ostow, Melissa Walker, Little Willow, and co-founder Lorie Ann Grover. Onward!

divas Melissa and Micol & The Contemps!

Our own divas Melissa Walker and Micol Ostow are two of twenty one authors Embracing the Real in contemporary YA lit at The Contemps, a fantastic new group author site celebrating the real, the gritty, and the wonderful in YA.

Their mission is simple:

We are passionate about realistic fiction because these are the books that remind us we're not alone in this real world. Our mission is simple - to spotlight contemporary fiction for young adults through blog posts, author events, and (over)sharing from our teen years.

Check out their challenge, going on NOW through November 15th: read 18 of their 21 books, and you can win all 21! All the deets are at http://www.thecontemps.com/. Congrats to writers passionate about YA!

Dia Calhoun's book news

Avielle of Rhia, about a princess with a magical gift for weaving, is now out in paperback. And she sold a middle grade verse novel titled Eva of the Farm to Atheneum, due out Spring of 2012.

Holly Cupala's book is out

TELL ME A SECRET is out in the world now, and we couldn't be more excited. This is Holly's debut novel, and readers are already loving it (and looking forward to her second one).

There's still time to enter one of the great contests bloggers are having in honor of the book release. Find more information here.
